This depends mainly on frequency of use and type of fuel.

Generally, if you are a frequent user and you have a wood burning fireplace, it’s smart to have a sweep performed before every season, usually in September or October.

We work in all of San Diego County, and will go out to Riverside and Orange County as well.

The short answer is yes. Although not as frequent, it is still a good idea to have your chimney swept every few years. We usually recommend not going more than 5 years.

A standard sweep, usually takes around an hour. Every sweep comes with a Level II inspection and report. This is to ensure that if there are any issues with safety, you will be notified.
That is a damper. It opens and closes the flue which is the opening to the chimney. Usually, when it is open, the handle is towards you in the home, away means it is shut.

Because we live in a very temperate climate, most people will leave it open year round. If you do feel a draft coming from the chimney, you can close it yourself. If it is stuck and won’t close or open, feel free to reach out to us!

A dryer vent service is a good idea every year. Accumulated lint can cause fires and a dryer vent service is a simple and easy way to keep your home safe.

Usually, we do not. We do however wear disposable booties for each job, that way we aren’t tracking in any dirt from outside. We also use rug runners, drop cloths and sheets to cover furniture if we need to. We try our absolute best to ensure your home is cleaner than when we got there!

Yes, we will take any old parts with us after installation of new products. We take any ash and soot with us along with any old firewood. We take any lint or other garbage with us forĀ  dryer vent service too.
